Each key you press on your keyboard has several values, in different languages. Regular users don't need to concern themselves with this, but if you need such information for a project, you can turn to Alternate Key Event. It displays codes and constants for each button on your keyboard, and all you have to do is press them to receive the information. The application is quite simple, but the information it provides can be important in certain situations.

Alternate Key Event is absolutely free, and you can have it up and running on your Windows machine in just a few seconds. You don't have to meet any special requirements, and you don't have to make any complicated settings. The software is compatible with the latest Windows versions, as well as older ones, down to Win 98.

Once you run the application, you only need to press any button on your keyboard, and its corresponding values will show up instantly on its compact user interface. The information includes the key's numerical, HEX, CHAR, VK, TShortCut and Keys values. Additionally, you can tick a few checkboxes, for the CTRL, SHIFT and ALT keys, if you want to test combinations.

The application doesn't present much more than the information about the keys you press. The only changes you can make are the fonts settings, enabling log creation and choosing what separator to use in the log, on a small options window. Alternate Key Event is designed to do one thing, so you shouldn't expect any advanced features, but you can expect it to do an excellent job.

Alternate Key Event can tell you all the values you want to know for any key you press.

The application provides you with various details about each key on your keyboard. It displays the information instantly, and it doesn't require a significant amount of resources. You can have it up and running in just a few seconds.

There are no obvious issues to address.
